How to use it

  1. Choose one image under 12 MB.
  2. Encode its original bytes as a Base64 data URL.
  3. Download the TXT file, or copy the result shown below.

What to know

Base64 increases text size by about one third. It does not compress or change the image, and large data URLs are a poor fit for web pages. Only PNG, JPG, WebP, and GIF files are accepted. Your image stays in this browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does the image quality change?

No. The image bytes are encoded as text without re-encoding pixels.

Can I use a data URL in HTML?

Yes, for small assets. A normal image file is usually more efficient for larger pictures.

Is the image uploaded?

No. Encoding runs locally in your browser.
