What to know
Only PNG, JPG, WebP, and GIF image bytes are accepted. SVG and other active document formats are blocked. Maximum 20 MB of Base64 text and 12 MB after decoding. A valid data URL type must match the actual image format.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the data:image prefix?
No. Plain Base64 is also accepted when its bytes identify a supported image.
Can I convert an SVG data URL?
No. This tool accepts only the four listed raster image formats.
Where does the text go?
It is decoded inside your browser.
