How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF with selectable text.
  2. Create the CSV and open it in a spreadsheet.
  3. Check each page’s rows, columns, and values against the PDF.

What to know

Columns are inferred from text positions. Scanned or image-only PDFs have no text to extract, and complex or irregular tables can be misaligned. Blank rows separate pages. Formula-like cells beginning with =, +, - or @ are prefixed with an apostrophe to prevent execution when opened in a spreadsheet; ordinary signed numbers are left unchanged. Password-protected PDFs are unsupported. Limits: 25 MB, 50 pages, 1,000 rows, and 12 inferred columns.
