What to know
Limits: 25 MB and 12 pages. Recompressing scanned pages as JPG may soften images and remove links, forms, bookmarks, or signatures. Do not use it for digitally signed PDFs or important forms. Some PDFs cannot be made smaller; no download is offered if the result is not smaller.
Frequently asked questions
Will text remain selectable?
If the original has selectable text, this tool avoids turning it into page images and tries to keep that text. It does not add searchable text to scans.
Can every PDF be made smaller?
No. An already optimized PDF or a text-only PDF may not shrink further.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Processing happens in your browser; the selected PDF is not sent to our server.
